Ruiz Constructions were engaged under the ABIC SW-2008 Simple Works Contract for the construction of the new Bank MECU Canberra shop fit-out. This is located on the Ground Floor of the Canberra Centre.
This was the first fit-out to comply with Centre Management’s new design standards and construction requirements. These included concealed glazing channels and structurally engineered glazing, comprising of 21.52mmm thick heat-treated glass.
Artillery Interior Architecture acted as the superintendent. The project also required Ruiz Constructions to coordinate with the client’s security contractor, Centre Management’s services contractors and liaison with the office relocation removal company.
The completion time was a strict 5-week program, with major works to be performed outside of business hours. The program deadline involved procurement of the supplier’s materials, engagement of sub-contractors and products in advance. This ensured timely delivery and successful execution of the project.
Ruiz Constructions achieved the project goals through our strong relationships with our contractors and were able to resolve all occurring issues efficiently, effectively and professionally throughout the duration of the project.
